Je suis L\u00e9a Martinez, doctorante en psychologie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Poitiers, au CeRCA (Centre de Recherches sur la Cognition et l\u2019Apprentissage) et je fais partie de l\u2019\u00e9quipe Asmodee Research qui soutient mon projet de th\u00e8se.<\/p>\n
Vous r\u00e9alisez une th\u00e8se CIFRE. De quoi s\u2019agit-il ?<\/h2>\n
Une th\u00e8se CIFRE (convention industrielle de formation par la recherche) est un partenariat entre un laboratoire de recherche et une entreprise qui permet de soutenir un doctorat. Dans mon cas, l\u2019entreprise Asmodee, au travers du programme de soutien \u00e0 la recherche sur les jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Game in Lab, finance mon projet de th\u00e8se que je r\u00e9alise au CeRCA de Poitiers. La th\u00e8se a d\u00e9but\u00e9 fin 2020 et durera 3 ans au total – il s\u2019agit de la dur\u00e9e classique d\u2019une th\u00e8se CIFRE.<\/p>\n
Comment ce travail s\u2019articule-t-il entre l’Universit\u00e9 et Game in Lab ? Quels sont les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices d\u2019une telle convention ?<\/h2>\n
Je partage mon temps entre le laboratoire et l\u2019entreprise. Pour la majorit\u00e9 du temps, je r\u00e9alise mes travaux de recherche au sein de mon laboratoire et je travaille en parall\u00e8le avec Asmodee et Game in Lab.<\/p>\n
R\u00e9aliser ma th\u00e8se sous convention CIFRE me permet de porter mon projet \u00e0 bien dans un laboratoire de recherche qualifi\u00e9, tout en profitant du soutien et de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience d\u2019une entreprise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e. Cette convention m\u2019offre aussi une ouverture professionnelle plus importante.<\/p>\n
Quel est l\u2019objet de vos travaux de recherche ?<\/h2>\n
Mes travaux de recherche portent sur l\u2019effet de la pratique des jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur le
d\u00e9veloppement des fonctions cognitives. Notre objectif est donc de mieux comprendre comment les jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 peuvent influencer, et s\u00fbrement am\u00e9liorer, les fonctions mentales chez les adultes et les adolescents.<\/p>\n
Comment mesure-t-on l\u2019impact de la pratique des jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur les fonctions cognitives ?<\/h2>\n
Une fa\u00e7on de mesurer l\u2019effet des jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur nos fonctions cognitives est de r\u00e9aliser des entra\u00eenements. Il s\u2019agit de rencontrer des participants et de comparer leurs performances \u00e0 des tests cognitifs avant et apr\u00e8s une p\u00e9riode contr\u00f4l\u00e9e de pratique de jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Si les performances apr\u00e8s l\u2019entra\u00eenement sont meilleures que celles avant l\u2019entra\u00eenement, les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices peuvent \u00eatre expliqu\u00e9s par la pratique ludique ainsi r\u00e9alis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
Quelle est l’origine de cette \u00e9tude ? Comment sait-on que la pratique du jeu de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 peut avoir un impact sur les fonctions cognitives ?<\/h2>\n
Nous savons que les loisirs et la pratique ludique sont souvent b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques pour le fonctionnement cognitif. En particulier, les jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 modernes offrent une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de m\u00e9canismes ludiques susceptibles d\u2019am\u00e9liorer nos fonctions mentales. De premi\u00e8res \u00e9tudes ont d\u2019ailleurs d\u00e9j\u00e0 montr\u00e9 que les jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 permettaient une am\u00e9lioration des apprentissages. Il nous semble donc pertinent de mieux comprendre quels sont leurs effets et de confirmer leurs b\u00e9n\u00e9fices sur le fonctionnement cognitif.<\/p>\n
Allez-vous r\u00e9aliser des recherches sur le terrain ? Aupr\u00e8s de quels publics ?<\/h2>\n
Bien que le contexte sanitaire nous demande d\u2019adapter nos recherches, nous allons pouvoir travailler \u00ab sur le terrain \u00bb, rencontrer des participants et organiser des sessions de jeu. Comme nous nous int\u00e9ressons au d\u00e9veloppement des fonctions cognitives, nous rencontrerons des adultes et des adolescents. Nous proposerons \u00e0 nos participants adultes de venir directement dans notre laboratoire de recherche, o\u00f9 nous disposons de l\u2019espace et du mat\u00e9riel n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 nos travaux. Pour nos participants adolescents, nous pourrons nous rendre dans des \u00e9tablissements scolaires, avec lesquels nous nous organiserons au pr\u00e9alable pour rencontrer des \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Pour chaque \u00e9tude, l\u2019objectif est d\u2019avoir un environnement de recherche contr\u00f4l\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La th\u00e8se a commenc\u00e9 depuis bient\u00f4t un an. Nous lan\u00e7ons donc actuellement nos premi\u00e8res
recherches qui devraient nous donner des r\u00e9sultats au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2022 !<\/p>\n
Comment les r\u00e9sultats de vos travaux de recherche peuvent-ils influencer le jeu de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de demain ?<\/h2>\n
Nos travaux de recherche permettront de mieux comprendre les influences des jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur les joueurs, d\u2019un point de vue cognitif. Ils permettront donc de mieux saisir comment le jeu de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 moderne peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour am\u00e9liorer des fonctions ou des apprentissages cibl\u00e9s. Si nos travaux n\u2019influenceront pas directement la forme des jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de demain, ils restent une ouverture \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension et la prise en compte des effets cognitifs des m\u00e9canismes de jeux sur les joueurs.<\/p>\n
